Term Classes & Holiday Sessions

By enrolling, you agree to the following:

1. Fees are set each term and are outlined in your welcome letter or end of term information pack. All new students have a one off Art pack when commencing and enrolment with Little Picassos. This fee covers the art pack and enrolment administration. On occasion, additional fees may be charged when services are outsourced, clay firing fee or exhibition fee. You may opt out of these additional fees and the service will not be provided. Fees are due in full by your child’s first lesson. Students with unpaid fee will not be able to attend further lessons. 
   * An administration fee will be added per invoice if individual processing is required.
2. Outstanding amounts on overdue invoices may incur reasonable administrative or recovery costs where permitted by law and where those costs have been properly incurred.
3. Missed lessons cannot be made up unless negotiated prior to the student’s absence. A maximum of 2 missed lessons can be made up by negotiation in a term, and by approval of the class teacher and or Director. Missed lessons cannot be made up in another term. MAKE UP for TERM CLASSES. As Art classes are different to other education out of school programs, we require specific materials and teacher instruction for every project and is not something that can easily be created outside of the students timetabled class. In order to have the specific materials and students work and where that are up to ready, we require a booking so that we can have everything ready to go at a make up lesson. Every class in the studios has restricted numbers, so that teachers have the best ratio for the student ages, skills and space for instruction and safely, as well as allowing correct one on one time with students in their class, additional make ups in the class can effect this ratio and instruction time, so therefor, we will look carefully at your child’s makeup needs and the sessions where that will occur with reflection on all of the above points.
   * Pee Wee and Pre School classes can only be made up in the week of the missed lesson, as classes run in the weekly block and can not be made up outside of that block. You may need to attend on another day and /or another studio to make up the missed session.
4. The best case is that your child can attend their full 8 classes in the times timetabled for them. If you are to be absent, please keep in mind the above when requesting a make up session
5. There is no discount or reduction in fees for missed classes. Please understand that classes are carefully planned to suit student skill and extension.
6. Class numbers are set & additional students for makeup classes must not exceed set class numbers. Lessons are sequential with materials prepared especially on the day.
7. Cancellations made within 14 days of the start of term are not be eligible for a refund. Please understand once enrolment numbers are confirmed two weeks out, we purchase all the materials for that term in preparation for the start of classes.
8. Fees and deposits are non-transferable to another term.
9. Gift vouchers for term classes, holiday sessions, or camps are not transferable and are not refundable for change of mind, except where required by law.
10. Deposits paid to reserve a place in a class are generally non-refundable, except where required by law. A place is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
11. Only enrolled children * are permitted to attend the class, unfortunately we cannot accommodate friends or family to join in, watch or stay during lesson time.
*Pee Wee and or Pre School accompanying adults permitted, one per child.
12. Parents/Caregivers of children of school age may not stay during lesson time. This is in the best interests of the child/ class developmental learning. Our insurance for school age children only covers enrolled students and those employed by the studio.
13. Little Picassos may refuse, suspend, or end an enrolment where there are reasonable grounds to do so, including safety, wellbeing, disruptive behaviour, or serious breach of these terms and conditions.
14. Classes may vary from advertised timetable depending on days / times as negotiated by individual studios, parents and teachers. Minimum numbers apply and classes will not run until minimum numbers have been reached.
15. All lessons/artwork are the property of Little Picassos and cannot be copied, duplicated or photographed. All term class, school holiday art workshops are original in design, description and content. They are copyright protected and remain the intellectual property of Janine Boyd and Little Picassos and may not be used, copied, or replicated in whole or part without the express permission of Janine Boyd and Little Picassos.

Parties & Events

Little Picassos hold wonderful birthday parties for creative children from ages 3 and up. An Art Party is a themed party to include a fantastic and creative two hour art session, plus time to celebrate with food, drinks and Birthday Cake.
Parties include:

• Exclusive use of the air-conditioned / heated Magill, Hyde Park or Glenelg Art Studio.
• All materials, smocks, resources, motivation and fully qualified and trained art teachers to host your party.
• Parties are designed individually according to the child’s age and interests. This makes each party unique and special. Each child goes home with a wonderful, themed artwork on canvas or clay works. All parties will agree to artwork theme and event schedule prior to the event.

Theme cannot be changed less than 7 days out from the event date.

Final guest numbers for invoicing must be confirmed at least 3 days before the event and will be used as the final number for billing.

Payment must be made in full prior to the party.
 
A party booking is confirmed only once the required $300 deposit has been received.

The party venue is for exclusive use of the space.

Payment is  for a minimum of 10 children, even if less attend.

The venue is accessible to families, 15 minutes prior to the start and 15 minutes after the finish time of the event.

Further costs apply for every 10 minutes you remain on-site.

Full payment must be made prior to the start of the party, card fees apply if payment by credit card.

If an invoice remains unpaid after the due date, Little Picassos may charge reasonable late payment or recovery costs, where permitted by law and where those costs have been properly incurred.

If an overdue account is referred to a debt recovery provider, Little Picassos may seek to recover reasonable third-party collection costs where permitted by law.

Any optional extras (Birthday Cake, catering, gifts and balloons) are required to be paid in full at the time of ordering, and may not be refundable once confirmed with third-party suppliers, except where required by law.

Party Deposit Cancellation policy:

If a party booking is cancelled, the deposit may be retained to cover reasonable administrative and preparation costs, except where required by law.

Event date of a confirmed booking can be changed to another date within 1 month from the original date, at no cost and  subject to availability.

Little Picassos may cancel a party booking where there are reasonable grounds to do so, including abusive, threatening, or unsafe behaviour toward staff. In such cases, any refund will be considered in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.
